Marjorie's ramblings

And we're off

Yes, the Haltwhistle Autumn Walking Festival began this morning. It was a rush to be ready for my lift at 0740 but we needed to be in Haltwhistle early for the walkers booked on our first walk. 34 people went out on a 14+ mile walk from Acomb via Chollerford, Humshaugh and Simonburn to finish just below the Ravensheugh Crags at Manor House.

The weather was perfect. All the walkers were well able to complete the walk and, in general, we had a very good time. I sold 8 calendars at the end. That was a bit disappointing, but probably just as well. One of our friends has been in touch to say that 2 pages are missing from her calendar. Now I have to check them before we sell any more. (Arghh)- very quietly.

Mum's leg if no better, no worse so she has had a quiet day at home.

PS The washer? Don't ask. I'll be treating it again tonight.
