Contrasts.

The trees in St Ives Estate, seen from the main Bingley road - an extension of Long Lane -here, are a good indicator of the progress of autumn. There is some colour developing there but still lots more to come.

This wasn't what prompted me to take this today though. We called in at the garden centre for some new Cyclamen ( sadly our old ones didn't survive this year ) and to have a coffee in the Potting Shed.

We both noticed the newly cut grass in the meadow above the the cricket and football grounds across the road from the garden centre. Not sure why we thought it was an unusual sight except perhaps it has been used as pasture before, but I liked the stripes and the contrast in colours.

It is also an area where we have been known to see deer early in the morning.
