Red fringes

Today my blip should have been street photography. I felt well enough to go to Hexham on a beautiful sunny and dry afternoon. I never rarely leave my camera at home. It was too late when I realised and no phone with me either.

However, this morning our friend Bob called at 0900. He has obviously already done his shopping and came with a bunch of carnations, "for my two girls"). (That's me at 62 and Mum at 92.)

My Dad's favourite flowers were carnations and we have a very special affection for them.

I was going to give this one a white background, but I like the way the other stems in the vase are radiating towards it.
