Dad & Derek

Two years ago we were at Pyle Garden Centre to celebrate it's re-launch. It was bought by Jayne James (was Jayne Case the BBC Wales News Presenter). Both my dad and BBC Wales Weatherman Derek Brockway.

Of course two years ago my dad decided to complicate things by trying to chop his big toe off with a lawnmower. No such complications this year. And the dynamic due of radio and television were reunited again to celebrate the centres second year of trading.

It was a cracking afternoon and a wonderful family atmosphere there. The place has really transformed in the last couple of years. We have visited a few times in the interim period. The cafe/ restaurant is wonderful, and I think for no other reason I may be popping back there just for a coffee and their famous corned beef pie!

If you've not been down there and you are in the South Wales area then you really should visit, there are so many small businesses there as well as the garden centre you could easily while away an hour or two with little effort!
