Marjorie's ramblings

How many words are there for mud?

Here is the steam train on the restored track of the South Tyne Railway. It has started running (or rather, moving very sedately) for the Easter Holidays.

I was out on a prewalk and we saw the train down the line from Slaggyford. The railway volunteers all seem to have a great time.

Our walk was Day Two of the Isaac's Tea Trail ready for the festival. It's the longest stretch and we did 14.5 miles. We are used to mud, but today it was incredibly bad. We slithered around and walking was hard work. I ventured that if the going was this soft, the Grand National would have been cancelled!

Off to Braithwaite for a few days of intensive landscape work tomorrow with What I've done.
