Thank You!

Thank you for all the kind words during the last few week. It is lovely that you have followed the story of The Mother's health problems and transfer to a care home and been kind enough to comment.

My projects for the day are, taking The Mothers hearing aids up to the Infirmary to have them checked and, to get her computer sorted with anti-viral software now that she will be using it on-line in the care home. Apparently she is the first computer-literate client they have had! I said they would soon have an influx of residents who had needed to learn how to use computers, in the eighties at work, before they retired. The Mother bought one of the early Amstrads, those green-screened ones, with her retirement money in 1987.

Just after lunch The Mother seemed fine but when I returned later in the day with her hearing aids she seemed a bit down and that's not like her. It turns out she is worried by the uncertainty of what will happen at the end of this respite care. She fears that she will be sent back home to try and manage.
