Southerlies Roll In, Kaitorete Spit

These clouds foiled my attempts to photograph the rising moon tonight, but as I was waiting for the no-show, I swung the tripod head round to capture the clouds scudding across the sandy gravels that make up Kaitorete Spit.

Maybe I can get a shot of the moon as it sets in the early hours. Maybe I can tee up one of the dogs to give me a nudge around 6am so I can see it before it dips down below the ridge at the bottom of the valley.
