Shaft

It would have been nice to get out and about today. While it had been frosty overnight, things warmed up quickly, all traces of frost vanished, and bright sunshine ruled.

But there was work to do, so I resisted the temptation and stayed chained to the computer. The day passed, I stuck to my guns, and the closest I saw of the sun was beams of light flooding onto the carpet.

Later on, I spent longer than I should have putting together a programme of music for Saturday's music session, at which I'm to be responsible for what the gang listen to for the final thirty minutes. All that's left to do on that front is to burn a CD, put together an insert sheet and a label, and then print it all out. No sweat. It's best to have this out of the way so I can turn undivided attention to real work for the rest of the week.

Maybe I'll watch a bit of Winter Olympics coverage later on. Maybe.
