Autumn Berries...

The garden is full of autumn colour just now and the blink of sunshine this morning made these berries pop. Decided to photograph them before the birds steal them all.

Sadly the sunshine didn't last long but at least it's dry.

Alan was off out with Ed for the day so after they'd gone I got my apron on, the oven on and the food mixer out. Had planned to make a banana loaf, iced gingerbread and Empire Biscuits but didn't have enough flour to do the loaf and the gingerbread. The loaf won as the bananas were ready to walk out the door so had to be used. I'll make the gingerbread tomorrow. That said, Marion has just sent me a recipe for Gin and Tonic cake so might give that a go instead! :-)))

By the end of the week I should also have made malteser slice, millionaire's shortbread and scones. That should see us all through Ryder Cup afternoon tea on Sunday!

David's out tonight, Anna's here with Alan this evening (still not had the courage to tell him she's leaving yet!) so hoping to get the chance to have a proper blip catch up.
