I love alpacas!

This afternoon we set out to go to the Geauga County Fair. Geauga is a large county, and it is a large, old-fashioned fair with lots of farm animals, 4-H projects, contests, a midway, and all the wonderful stuff that goes with a county fair. It is held every year on the first weekend in September, and we enjoy spending the afternoon at the fair. I got a blip at the fair last year , but unfortunately we didn't get one today.

Friday and Saturday, the first two fair days, were cold and rainy, but today was a perfect fall day, so apparently half of northeastern Ohio decided to go to the fair, and there aren't that many routes you can use to get there. Three or four miles short of the fairgrounds, traffic came to a stop. At that point the lovely country road was a virtual parking lot, and we weren't getting anywhere. Finally we turned around and headed home to Lake County and spent a pleasant two or three hours at the Farm Park where there were plenty of farm animals, no crowds, and free admission for Lake County residents because it was "Lake County Day". Wahoo! What more could we ask?

My favorite animals at the Farm Park are the alpacas, so that's what I blipped for today. I hope you like them too.
