Proud

Some days, no matter how utterly shattered you are, how bad you feel, some days are just great, because you are reminded of how much of a privilege it can be to work with young people.

Pre-show. Putting on the stage make-up.

We had some wonderful singing (and I mean wonderful!) - solo performances and vocal groups. Different arrangements of well known carols and 'popular tunes'. Faces who I didn't know could sing so beautifully. It's really humbling, when children demonstrate to grown ups what it is to be talented and confident about it.

Fabulous acting talent too. Confident, witty and pacey performances from familiar AND new faces. Fantastic drag artiste amongst all of the other fine actors. They even managed to man/woman handle a certain colleague - there is photographic evidence too. That will be stored for future use.

Audience participation.

Lovely warm atmosphere between students, staff and parents at the interval, and throughout the show.

The MC left something to be desired...... teehee.

Great night - I wish we'd had just a few more in the audience, so that more voices would go out into the community and talk about our talented students.

Morning performance tomorrow for local primary schools - should go down a treat.

A great evening that left me feeling so much better than I did at 4pm.
