I'm in a new season some would call retirement. I think of it more like getting my second wind rather than stepping back or retiring from something. I learned scientific photography for my first job in my twenities, then got busy with family and taking snap shots of life. Now, as a Christ follower, I want to "be still and know" my Creator as He speaks to me through the lens of a camera.
Thanks for taking a look with me.

Here it is a little over four years since I first signed on to Blip with that intro. I guess it's time to update my "avatar", aka my profile picture!
Retirement is not a new season for me anymore, but every day is a new day of learning to "be still" and trust God to care for me, as I care for my hubby, who has Huntington's Disease.
And my favorite time of day is our morning walk when I look through the lens of my camera to see what love note the Lord has put out for me in the form of a Blip!

How time flies! Here it is another 5 years after my last update. Hubby is no longer able to come on walks, so now when I go out my hands are full with the dog and not just my camera. Nevertheless, I still look for a slice of beauty to commemorate the day and remind myself of God's care. I have come to realize that the preciousness of the moment is not that I have captured it with the camera, but that I have experienced it. And the special thing about Blip is not honing a skill, but in sharing experiences.
As always, I am still learning to "be still and know."
