I live in northern Leicestershire, UK.  I became 'passionate' about photography after taking a short course with the Open University.  You know that saying? 'If I can't take my camera, I'm not going!'

When I think of all the places I've been lucky to live in and visit, I could cringe that I didn't take better photos at the time. Which is why I like travel photography.

I like several genres of photography. I end up doing landscape, candid and nature shots. My nature photography is tame compared with the naturalists who get down on the ground to take photos across water, or sit for hours in hides waiting for a bird to 'do its thing.' Too much other stuff to do, like cooking dinner, to be sitting patiently all day.

Blips - it's what takes my eye that day.
