Not big on social media but I'll give this a go :)

I learned about blip from KarenC's photo of Brighton pebbles on The Guardian's blipfoto weather page... probably coinciding with the Christmas 2020 lockdown of Sydney's Northern Beaches, where I live with my partner, son (on and off) and aging dog.

July 2025: I've started doing a few (lots) of back-blipping. The back story... A long term friend of mine who'd moved away from Sydney eventually also drifted away from blip in June 2023 (due to her having issues uploading with her phone - she did not have a computer) and I sorted of followed - it had become our main mode of communication.

She died unexpectedly in March 2024 - although it was probably not that unexpected for her as she'd been plagued with an illness for some time. She was a very private person and I respected that - we did speak a texted a few times after her last entry...

Blip was a hard place for me to visit after that... but I'm back, for myself, and want to fill in a few gaps.
