I love the way Blipfoto has become part of my life, a daily task that has become an obsession!
A motorbiking Grandad enjoying retirement and living in Gloucester, UK..

Born in South Shields, UK, at the mouth of the River Tyne, in 1948.
Royal Air Force 1965 - 78. Served at foreign stations in Malta, Oman, Singapore and Maldives. Worked and lived in Saudi Arabia for 8 years and then Nortel Networks, until 2009, which involved extensive travel to train telecomms engineers from Oslo to Jeddah, Moscow to Milan, Dallas to San Francisco. Exciting places visited included Cairo, Beirut, Damascus, Ukraine (Comsomolsk), Moscow., Istanbul, Athens, Nicosia, It was a great job :-)
Travel has been a huge feature in my life, particularly the Middle East.
Love our dog, Jonty (Bichon) ((N.B. we lost Jonty 27 June 2023, broke my heart)), sadly Foxy (Long Haired Chihuahua) died on 23 Dec 2018. Both feature in my Blipfoto entries along with other passions - Aircraft (not so much nowadays) Grandchildren and my motorbike, and I like to listen to the radio rather than watch TV - Planet Rock & BBC Radio 4 Extra and ClassicFM in particular.
Oh, and there's my wife Marlane as well, she features quite a lot in my life, if not in my blips!

Update 2019 - Blips tend to be more about the grandchildren nowadays since we had an explosion of them from 2 for 12 years and during  2017 to 2020 (Lockdown time) we have now grown to 8 grandchildren !!!!!

Update 20 December 2020 - What is really great about Blipfoto is looking back. It's incredible how the focus of my journal entries has changed since April 2011.

Update 2022
YES! Did Route 66 this year, Blips reflect the fortnight in April, and in November I changed my profile photo to one where I am leaning on the 'End of the Trail' post which is on Santa Monica pier.
