Marjorie's ramblings

Granada and the Alhambra

After an early morning shoot in the mountains, we drove to Granada to visit the Alhambra. Even in February, there were large numbers of tourists here.

Aggie was very troublesome today, so I had to walk quite slowly in order to cope with all the steps.  The detail in the buildings is quite amazing and it has been very difficult to choose one image to show.

At the end of the afternoon we were at the Mirador to photograph the Alhambra as the sunset. There were a lot of young people, mainly with dreadlocks and dogs (can't think of another way to explain this) who had craftwork for sale or who played music, the young people that is!.  The atmosphere was friendly and happy.

Charlie found us a lovely restaurant just beside the Mirador. I had aubergine salad for my starter. This turned out to be aubergine chips in a cone of paper!

Another very enjoyable day in Andalucia.
