Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

One more time....

My 3rd visit to the Seattle Art Museum’s Kehinde Wiley show, this time with blipper/friend Tookie (So you get to see some more of his art… Lots of people and small tours today -it closes on sunday—this woman was doing a great job getting responses from these kids about the stained glass pieces... street clothes in "Churchlike windows"… we listened too and learned lots!  The extra is another painting where you can see Tookie and her sense of humor better. :-) but I thot the blip should be of the different glass pieces.  There are links from visits 1 HERE and 2 HERE with the grandkids...   Tookie and I got a bit of a bonus with a lecture about  a new show of photos of the civil rights era of the 60s,  a small show with some very powerful work of photographers Dan Nudnik, Danny Lyon, Roy deCarava, (my favorite)  Robert Frank, Gary Winograd, Marion Post Walcott among others.  fun!!

Got home in time to pick up Fiona from School…she had her own agenda today -non stop talking with a very elaborate school day schedule for us, but I got to pick some of the  activities, including drawings, …pizza for dinner and some games and puzzles. (the other extra)
