MAKE DO AND MEND

Had to get up early this morning as I was expecting a parcel re-delivery. Two parcels arrived -  one from India and one from China.  Both contained cat toys for Tino and Lily.  Cat toys which have been ignored by them since they were unpacked.  Waste of money?  Luckily not much money.

I decided to go back to bed for a while.  Later on I walked down to the village for a bit of shopping.  The weather was dry and dull - not warm but OK really.

When the weather is dry I always take a short cut to the village along the back lane which runs through the allotments.  Its wide enough for a car but its just earth so it tends to get muddy and lots of potholes appear.  So the allotment holders fill the potholes with whatever they have to hand - bricks, broken paving stones, rubble, shale, sticks weeds etc.  As I walk along the lane I pass all the different materials so I decided to take a few photos of some of them and make this collage.

Going to have my tea now - a turkey burger, couple of chicken and sundried tomato sausages and vegetables.  Followed by fruit salad. Then I will tackle the ironing whilst watching Eurovision.

Steps today - 6,600
