The accidental finding

Millend Mill, Eastington

I spent the morning in the garden listening to the radio and trying to figure out the latest jigsaw. Why don't I listen to the radio more often?

Steve came over later, and we headed off to the village of Eastington, to go for a history walk with the Industrial Archaeology Society. Our walk took in several.old mills, a tea stop, a graveyard, and
a grand house, Eastington Park, which is now a wedding venue.

This former cloth mill won an award in 2015 for creative reuse of an industrial building. It's been made into twelve apartments, but the exterior hasn't been overly prettified. It retains a look of austerity. Here we see it from the rear, with the former mill wheel channels just about visible in the foreground.

Back at the house, I've got the movie projector going, and have just watched Me Before You (weepie, and not too realistic on the disability front). Enjoyed it, but not as much as the book. Right now I'm trying Moana, but am not sure how much I'll manage...
