A view from Jeanneb

Autumn mists etc

A glorious day today but when I looked out of the bedroom window (steamed up) a drift of mist could be seen across the trees of the St Ives Estate. (Extra)

I set off to walk with neighbour D and the sun was slanting through the trees as we climbed into Cottingley Woods.

Dropping down to Beckfoot Golf Course we were in the mist. This was the first dew drenched cobweb I spotted as we climbed the stile onto the course, but there were lots more.
I like this one as you can see D patiently waiting on the other side for this blipper!

Crossing into the St Ives Estate we took a look at Betty's, Wood where the tree felling is taking place. Apart from a huge machine in the car park there wasn't any evidence of change yet.

Back across Low Park the lovely individual trees there loomed out of the mist somehow accentuating the shape of the trees which are normally less marked.

A lovely walk but very wet underfoot after the heavy rains we experienced last night.
