Marjorie's ramblings

At the optician's

Mum has a very croaky voice and a tight chest, but really wanted to go for her hair cut this morning. We then went to pick up her spectacles, long awaited with eager anticipation. Here is the lovely technician who was fitting them for her. He retires in December and told us that he plans to travel and see family across the world and to do more sea fishing.

Sadly Mum realised that the double vision had returned with the new specs. This is a huge disappointment. She has been wearing stick-on prisms for over a year, until the double vision was corrected, but they make the world a bit blurry. Now the glass is clear, but obviously the prescription is not quite right.

If you want you eyes to water I could tell you the cost.

We've had a quiet day since then.

Arth and Aggie are coping fairly well with a new regime of twice daily sessions on the exercise bike.
