Berwick Lighthouse

It has been a really lovely day – weather-wise and otherwise. The boys went to church and I went out for a run in the sunshine. I ran about 6.3miles which seemed like a long way this morning.  We all then headed to an outdoor shop near Berwick so TT could buy a new coat.  In the end he bought two new coats, I bought one and we also got one for BB while we were there.  Never have so many coats been bought at once.  They are all practical and functional coats for winter.  BB also got a new top which he insisted on wearing – getting changed in a car part in Berwick.

We went in search of a lunch venue.  BB wanted to go to the place we went the last time – but TT and I were not keen as it had been freezing.  The first place we tried was closed, so we ended up in a lovely café down on the quay where we all had lovely paninis and even lovelier cakes.

We then had a walk in the sunshine round the coast and out along the pier (which I read is really a breakwater) to the lighthouse.  By the time we go back to the car, the sun had set and the temperature was dropping.

Once home, I was on tea and BB was on cello practice.  Later BB and I watched Blue Plant 2.

Here is the lighthouse at Berwick.  The extra is an old Edward VII post box I spotted.
