Plumbago In A Shaft Of Light

Because we don't have a blind on the kitchen window it's sometimes so bright I have to put two of my narrow paintings in the window to block the light.

Late in the afternoon the sun shines in through the gaps and today a shaft of light landed on a sprig of blue plumbago I had placed in a little bowl on the sink.

A flurry of photographic energy resulted in lots of shots from different angles. This one seemed to tick all the boxes. I am finding this challenge quite addictive ;o). Of course it needs the black background of large to really get the effect.
