Mono Monday: Rhymes with February

Arnos Vale Cemetery

Through urban sprawl and tumble
Quiet and still
Unaffected by the city’s sounds
Gravestones now crumble
On the side of a hill
Yet in Winter Sun peace abounds

KangaZu is in charge of the MonoMonday challenge this month and has started with an unusual approach.  Today's shot has to feature something that "rhymes with February".  Not easy, not easy at all, so this lunch time saw me hike out to the Arnos Vale Cemetery here in Bristol for my rhyming image.

This ‘chattri’ or funeral monument celebrates the life of Rajah Rammohun Roy, sometimes called "the Father of Modern India, a Hindu reformer  he died in 1833, while on a visit to Bristol. It is still a place of pilgrimage, as the flowers attest.
