Marjorie's ramblings

Swathes of white

It's been yet another sunny day, almost too hot for me in fact.

This evening I took myself for a wander near to home and enjoyed all the flowers that have burst forth in the last few days. The whites are amazing. Whilst the blackthorn blossom is going over, it gives way to bird cherry and the hawthorn. Queen Anne's Lace decorates the roadsides, the garlic is opening and the dandelions have gone to seed. I had great difficulty in choosing a blip from tonight's images. In the end the delicate structure of the dandelion won.

This morning we had a company meeting. It was a very important one because we needed to discuss the future of the festival and whether we hold one or two each year. It seemed odd to think of reducing such a successful event from two to one, but the work does take up a huge amount of everyone's time. The good news is that there will be two festivals in 2019.

I am offloading some of my jobs to other people. The changeover will be time consuming, but there is light at the end of the tunnel now which is good.

I saw the shoulder surgeon today for my MRI scan result. As expected there is a partial tear of the rotator cuff and some arthritic changes in the end of the clavicle. Conservative measures are advised with surgery as a last resort. I'm as happy with that as I can be!
