Marjorie's ramblings

By walkingMarj

A perfect day

The sun was up early this morning and the wind was less ferocious.

I decided to go for a walk up amongst the small lochs inland to here. Imagine my surprise when Harry’s old friends Pete and Heather turned up. Pete was looking so much better than the last walk I did with him. He usually looks as if he has just had a mud bath. Today he did try to persuade me to do a little bog trotting but there was very little mud to plodge in. Heather had a nice short summer hair cut.

Have you noticed how Pete and Heather don’t mind the midges, who came to welcome me to one loch side? There were loads of damsel and dragon flies too.

If you are at all puzzled by the above, please forgive me. It’s a walkers’ joke and I expect that harryofthehills will comment.

It was so dry that I did not expect to see sundew, but there it was in abundance, hanging on to droplets of moisture.

I had second lunch back at the car after 3 hours walking. It was a surprise when another car appeared and stopped because I was up a small track. A large, shaven-headed and multi-tattooed man approached. Yes, they were lost. What is more I knew where they wanted to go!!
