Marjorie's ramblings

Tulip time

I have not offered many tulip blips yet this year. Today we had an online delivery from Sainsbury's including a bunch of jewel tulips. They are lovely so I am offering one for my blip.

Mum has hospital or health appointments at home, on every day this week.

We were at outpatients this morning to see the spinal physio about Mum's stiff sore (kyphotic) neck. The physio was very nice but did not know what to suggest. She is going to talk to the spinal surgeon for his opinion. (I did not mention that he was the person we had hoped to see in the first place!)

This afternoon it was the turn of the Speech and Language Therapist to assess Mum's problems with swallowing. She was great. After a thorough assessment she thought we were doing all the right things. Later this week the dietician will come and may recommend some food supplements on prescription to prevent Mum losing more weight. This is the route to the outcome we would like. (Gone are the days when GPs could make these decisions themselves. Sometimes I wonder if they are left with anything significant that they are allowed to do! )

We enjoyed our quizzes tonight.

Arth remains swollen and cross, but not as cross as I am with him!
