Quod oculus meus videt

The House at Weston Park

I popped up to the park with my infrared camera this morning, getting a few images before the clouds rolled in and obscured the sun.

This was one of the images I captured before it got too cloudy.  I've tried not to allow the infrared contrast to dominate the image, which isn't too difficult as I use a 560 nanometre filter.  This allows for false colour images to be created but I felt the black and white treatment was more suited to the scene.

While there I bumped into a lady from San Francisco.  She has been on a tour with others from the Art Appreciation Society, stopping at various locations in Wales before arriving here earlier in the week.  She was saying how much she'd enjoyed her time here and the information provided by the Park's curator, Gareth.  I know Gareth well, he was the person who offered me the exhibition in 2016 and from my dealings with him there isn't much he doesn't know about the history of the house and its occupants.  I imagine the society lapped it up!
