Happy Birthday Miss L

10.02.19
Our beautiful Miss L is nine today. Nine!!!!
Nine years ago tonight - at 7.35pm - she came into our lives in the most dramatic fashion (midwife felt a prolapsed cord and tried to organise a C-Section, idiot consultant overruled her and then left them to deal with a natural delivery, which turned into a horrific episode of ER with red buttons, hundreds of people bursting into the room, hands and knees, yanked forceps delivery, blue and unmoving baby........ Uuugghhhhhh!!!!. But all was well and we were blessed with Miss L.
She is and has always been a joy.
Even if she does insist on waking us up at the crack of dawn to get started unwrapping her birthday presents.
It was all done and dusted by the time the sun came up!!
Bacon and eggs for breakfast and then she had a lazy day playing with new stuff, watching tv and having three hour baths with new bath bombs.
Later in the afternoon we went to Hobbycraft so Miss L could spend her vouchers and then we went to Halfords to look at bikes for both of them. When we bought Marshall I insisted that we get a bike rack for the back. Mr K said we could add it later but I knew we wouldn't and put my foot down.
After Mr K's abortive attempt to buy the Little Misses bikes before Christmas (Halfords fault rather than Mr K's) I decided to take matters in hand myself and buy them bikes myself. Today.
We were hours in Halfords with a thankfully very patient and helpful assistant. Almost every bike was tried and almost every shelf had been banged into by Miss L!
Eventually bikes were chosen, helmets were bought and commission was more than earned by the chap who helped us!
We went to Bicester in the evening for Miss L's favourite restaurant in the world, Nandos!
She wanted to go at 7pm so it was a proper late night out, None of this 6pm nonsense for her!
Nana and Papa came too and it was really lovely. Lots of chicken consumed and endless fro-yo. What a treat!!
Afterwards we walked up to Nana and Papa's for cake. Very delicious Carl the Caterpillar.
I love looking back at the photos of Miss L blowing out her candles. She's growing up.
And I'm lucky enough to be her Mummy.
