Capital adventures

We all stand together

I woke in the middle of the night and sent emails.  Consequently I was very tired this morning and did a whole lot of diversionary activities, some of which did need to be done.

The sun was out and it was warm, although bizarrely there were really strong gusts of wind that brought down leaves.  Spoke to J, 28 deg in the Ardeche!  I also caught up with J in Glasgow and arranged for the valuation to be done.

Dropped the car off and took the bus to town to pick up my sparkly Converse then bus back to meet with S and walk to Charteris.  K was there.  Haven't seen her for ages. Then back to drop off the music.  S's flat is right beside the opening to the Innocent tunnel.  It was very busy with cyclists.

Back home Y came round to get the key and tell me that the vixen and cub had been right up to their door this afternoon.  Here the blackbirds are still toing and froing from the nest and I caught a wee frog resting on my (plastic) water lily.  It's like 'Springwatch' here.

J had mentioned the new West/Scales canals programme so I watched both episodes.  Much crying out of 'I've been there' as they went from Ha Long to Ha Noi via the Red River, Hoi An, the Mekong Delta, HCMC (Sai Gon), Phnom Penh, Tonle Sap and Angkor Wat, although how they managed to get a shot of Ha Long Bay with only one boat in view is anyone's guess.

Started packing.  I'll get up early and finish tomorrow.
