Beware!

The islands were badly affected by the Boxing Day tsunami. Luckily no sign of v earthquakes or tsunamis today although it was cloudy, humid and there were at least 5 spots of rain.

After breakfast I took a tuk tuk ride to Old Town SE of here. It's about 25 Kms but took 35 minute s. The road is being worked on. The east side is undeveloped, no resort hotels as on the west. Mangroves, loads of rubber trees and even a couple of monkeys.

Old Town is small and quaint and three usual Thai tat shops. Had a good walk round and then back
That was about £25 but with it to see a bit more of the island.

Then some sewing on the balcony, some swimming in the lap pool, some lying in the not sun (all the umbrellas at the promenade have been replaced with the matching yellow ones) and a dip in the sea.

A call from J means there are more worries about mum and J and D may not make it to KL and Vietnam. Bad timing. There's little I can do.

I had a G&T as an sundowner and then back to Lanna Seafish for BBQ red snapper, and another chocolate sundae.

Another warm tropical night, quite breezy.
