Happy Birthday Grace!

Lovely sunny day, by afternoon the early spring flowers were opening to the sun and I got 3 small loads of washing out!
Ironing done now too. Love all the flowers here, the patch of hellebores in the back garden back lit this morning and I particularly like the pink buds coming on the Spirea - Anthony Waterer. It won’t get pink flowers till high summer so these pink leaves which appear after pruning are a spring bonus.
Since lunch I’ve been having a go at reproducing Elisa’s lovely curry from last Monday, the sun illuminating the Hyacinths I bought last week in Lidl on the kitchen window ledge. They smell divine and less than £2 for a pot of three all with another bud coming.

I’ve also taken Chris's pj’s up, don’t get the sewing machine out very often these days, so feeling content to have a sit down  now. Chris upis vergering ( not sure that is a word) for  someone’s renewal of vows ceremony this afternoon.
Grace is somewhere in Devon for her birthday weekend with  Eda and John and a whole group of am dram friends from BLOC ( Bristol Light Operatic Club). She sent me a picture this morning and it looks lovely. Glad they are getting some nice weather too though I think they may be in prime place for the arrival of Storm Ciara tomorrow. She’s taken another of the M&S gf chocolate cakes for everyone so that was a success.
