Life in Sunny Dubai

RAK Desert

No pink today. :((

We had a very quick trip up to Ras Al Khaimah in the afternoon to visit The Cellars. They had their long-weekend promotion of "Buy One, get the other at half price". I'm so glad we nipped out because Friday's are the better day to travel to the Northern Emirates and as it turned out later, the telco man whom I had arranged to upgrade the speed of the home internet, didn't show up until after 9 pm.  When he did finally arrive, he left without doing anything because it transpired that I had been signed up for a whole new account whereas all I needed was to have the speed upgraded. This can be done simply by calling their Helpline, except the IVR didn't have the option I want, so I now have to visit a branch. There you go. I always say it makes sense to "someone".

The rest of the day... we had a good service in the morning, followed by a business meeting. The church has been looking for a new pastor since last September and this has continued through COVID. They have got one very good candidate, and today he was presented to a quorum to get an approval to move forward. Exciting.

So, my blip is of the red dunes of Ras Al Khaimah - desert sands with lots of greenery on it, taken by G from her side of the car in failing light.
