Marjorie's ramblings

Another Zoom Party

I sometimes go on walking holidays organised by Helen Venus of Wild Rambling. I was due to go with her to the Lakes in September, but it was cancelled of course.

Tonight she invited a group of us to join a virtual get together. It was a catch up and a chance to hear about her future plans for holidays.

If you look hard at the screen you will see that one person was attending two Zoom meetings simultaneously. She thought she could do her Pilates as well as come to the party. We won after about 15 minutes!

Dogs and cats freely attended, although neither of ours chose to do this.

This morning, the other Marjorie came and we walked for about a mile around the village. She is handicapped by a bad back and we stopped to rest regularly. None of this stopped our lively chatter.

I heard a terrific conversation from the British Museum before the party. Richard Overden and Edmund de Waal were talking about the history of the destruction of libraries and archives. You should be able to catch it on You Tube. Illuminating to say the least.
