Morningside Park

Short walk to 'Morningside Park' this morning because it was chucking it down with rain and also it was very dark.

Fortunately by this afternoon the rain had stopped so I had a lovely long play in the Hermitage.

And, as usual, the rest of the day has just been frittered away. Ann can't even remember what 'normal life' is like. …..............Well, actually she can, because she has Facebook & Blip to jog her memory. Last year she was going to her Fitness Club 4-5 times a weeks, she was doing 5-7 'Meet & Greets' a week and she was going out socialising a few times a week.

In the last 3 weeks or so, she's not been at her fitness club because she hasn't had the energy to go there and none of the classes are running anyway. And having to book a slot to go swimming is just irritating. She did one 'Meet & Greet' last week but hasn't had any work this week. …........And as for socialising....................... she can't even remember what socialising is??!!!

Apart from my walks, we've been in all day. …............And Ann's spent hours doing her thousand piece jigsaw and hasn't even completed a quarter of it. Just what is the point of doing a jigsaw anyway? It's not really enjoyable. It's just something to do. A bit like reading a book? Why would anyone want to sit by themselves and read a book? Or even watch TV? We spend hours watching TV. Why? …........Ann's starting to think she's got 'mental health' issues??!! During first lock down there seemed to be 'light at the end of the tunnel', but whoever thought we would still be in this situation 9 months later? …..............And yes, it's brilliant that there is now a vaccine. But for 'normal single people' the tunnel just seems to be getting longer and longer..............................

Oh well, ho hum, our weather app which often lies is telling us it's going to be a lovely day tomorrow so Ann has promised me that we will go off on a big long walk together to a park that starts with the letter 'N'.

Loving our 'A2Z of Edinburgh Parks' project. Can any of you guess where we're going tomorrow????
