Marjorie's ramblings

By walkingMarj

Thank you

Thank you to whoever put this painted stone on the South Tyne Trail. Maureen and I met at Coanwood this morning and walked south on the trail, then back to the car, then north on the trail. We did about 3 miles, all flat and Arth was a star.

Earlier in the year, painted stones started to appear around the area. Our village had a second wave of them around Remembrance Day. I hope the artists know that they are appreciated.

My extra is taken from the famous Langley Viaduct. The river is the South Tyne. It's lovely here in the autumn but good at all times of year.

It was great to catch up with Maureen again. We have agreed we will be able to do more short walks as we both recover from our various medical problems.

Mum and I watched the Repair Shop then the Great Christmas Sewing Bee. Uni Challenge will wait until tomorrow.

The storm has arrived with lashings of rain all evening. I feel so sorry for the people who are flooded out of their homes.
