MM: Green

The theme for today's mono Monday is 'your [my] idea of an ecological world' in green mono.

The biggest and best thing that could affect my ecological world be halting the melting of the the world's cryosphere. The cryosphere is the part of the Earth system comprised of frozen water: ice sheets and glaciers, snow, permafrost and sea ice.

There are too many consequences of this melting to list, but consider the harm to wildlife, rising sea levels and the problems caused by the commingling of the sea's salt water and fresh water on agriculture and drinking.

This ice cube, yet to melt but still surviving in the sun, represents my idea of the best ecological world. Thanks to carolinav for hosting mono Monday this month.
