Third Sunset

Another day, when all the days continue to blend into each other.  I made a big pot of soup and prepared to bake, until I realised I was missing a key ingredient.  It was a nice morning so I popped out for what I needed, but by the time I got back I was rather damp (as it rained as I walked back home) and my notion to bake had passed.  However everything is ready.
Anyway, after a hearty bowl of soup the weather had brightened again so we three headed out for a walk – a circuit of Pencraig, East Linton and Hailes Castle.  As we drove to our starting point the heavens opened, but it seemed to pass quickly so we parked up and headed out.  The first bit of the walk was very muddy, then a good bit on the road though slippery in places, before more mud, and back to tarmac.  The last bit was through the woods and we were pelted by a hail storm, but partly sheltered. We were glad to get back to the car.
TT cooked up a quick pasta sauce for tea, then we retreated to the sofa for the third Jason Bourne movie.  I had never seen it before, but it helpfully explains what the first two were all about.
When we got back to the car, the hail storm was easing off and we were basked in a strange orange light as the sun disappeared, so yet another day and yet another sunset.
