A view from Jeanneb

Esholt

Spent the morning in the garden, finally got around to the top lawn area of the back garden to remove a few weeds.

We then had a visit to make with some children’s clothes Grace had sent home with us for John’s cousin in Esholt.
We decided to go today on our way to Guiseley M & S for our Easter shop.

If you live locally and think of the village of Esholt you will probably think of one of two things. Firstly it is the sight of a huge sewage and water treatment plant and secondly it was the place where the soap Emmerdale was filmed for some years. It is actually a very pretty village with some lovely old houses. If you go into the village centre the pub there is now named The Woolpack, from the Emmerdale years, though filming moved to a created site at in the Harewood estate some years ago.

We were pleased to find M & S not too busy as we were later than usual and with a bank holiday coming up I wasn’t sure what to expect.

Whilst in the car I got an exciting message, Grace and John have exchanged contracts on their house in Bath and all being well they will be moving tomorrow. (There have been a few ups and downs so glad things are going a ahead as planned)
Eda has her last day at the Bristol nursery today, she’s transferring to the same group nursery in Bath and has had one taster session this week with another one tomorrow. I hope she settles well. She knows about the new house and has seen it but I’m not sure she realises they won’t be going back.

Can’t wait to go and see it myself!

Had a little sit in the garden this afternoon to browse a few magazines that came in the post. (Just had to make the most of this weather.) I sat on the bench which will soon sit on their terrace with a great view over the city of Bath.

Thank you all so much for your kind words, stars and hearts yesterday. Here we go into year 12!
