Last of the village daffs?

I normally post at least one blip of daffodils in the village as they line all the roads leading out. These are a getting ready to give way to the Cherry blossoms but they still look very cheery particularly on a duller day like today. (The cherries are further out on the road to Wilsden)

I walked back this way after a visit to the village pharmacy and Post Office, and a sneaky call into the Yorkshire Treats shop. Met my neighbour yesterday on his way back and he’d got a vanilla slice. I was too late today they had all gone and they’d had 16 to start with. Must go earlier!
They had some huge pieces of Manchester Tart, haven’t had that since school. Might get one to share sometime. Dangerous place!

Walked first thing with the  ladies which was nice even though the weather wasn’t sparkling.  We saw three juvenile swans which we were surprised at as lately there only seems to have been the two adults and one juvenile on the pond.
The forward pair of walkers heard and spotted a woodpecker on the edge of the pond but he was too high up for a picture (unless Wilsden Walker comes up with one later on her blip) Always good to locate them. Once again nice to see everybody.
