Arizona Dreamin’

From Abe’s Era

I have blipped this photograph of my mom when she was 18 months old before. It was among the things I brought in from the garage yesterday. I never looked at the back of the frame even though I’ve had this for decades. Someone wrote across the top (probably her), “This frame made in 1864“. If it’s true, it was made during the Civil War. I took the photo of the back at an angle so you could see how it’s not completely flat. It looks like at one time it has been taped closed, but the writing is over those marks. I thought it would be interesting to share.

I went out for breakfast which consisted of a scrambled egg, one slice of toast and a small dish of fresh berries. When I reached for my wallet I realized I didn’t have it with me. I was really embarrassed. The original plan was to take the car to get washed after breakfast before it got too hot. But without a wallet that wasn’t going to happen. Two days in a row. I brought cash back to them right away. I eventually found it underneath the magazine I was reading before I left the house.

The only other thing I did was talk to my mail order pharmacy about the rescue inhalers that arrived today. Wrong ones were sent. They’re going to replace them. I also had Geek Squad fix my printer. Other than that, it was too freaking hot to do anything but take a nap and play games on my phone.

I sincerely don’t mind the heat as long as it increases gradually so it’s easier to acclimate. But to go from the low 100’s to the 111.2°/44° that it was today is shocking to the system.

I don’t say it as often as I should, but I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for continuing to visit my journal. It means everything to me. xx
