A bizarre occurrence

In Conwy!

In to Conwy in time for our early entry tickets to Conwy Castle this morning, at least it meant there was room in the car park!

We paid for four hours so after our visit we decided we would walk the extensive walls. Having issued fleetingly through here before I didn’t notice that the walls extended virtually all around the town. There are great views over the town to the castle and Conwy Bay. You do have to come down from the walls to get around the railway ( bless the Victorian’s) so we took the opportunity to have a coffee in the town centre.

Returning to the walls I felt a bit if a buzz and flutter of wings and this chap had apparently landed on me! I couldn’t see it myself but Chris told me it was huge and it had alighted to consume a bee!

It stayed there for about two thirds of our remaining wall walk and attracted quite a few comments and people taking photographs! I finally saw it fly off and coups see how big it was!

Another glorious day after a slightly overcast start. So buy by tge time we came down from the walls we decided to move on to get a cup of tea. We drove along the coast towards Bangor and found a cuppa, just getting served before a whole class of children turned up for an ice cream thankfully they were very well organised!

We returned via Llanrwst and had a drink over looking the river. Think we like this place and I think I’ve spelled it correctly this time. Again there were people in the river and we enjoyed watching a three legged Labrador chasing in and out if the water.

Back to the same place for dinner. The manager is from Greater Manchester but his hotel is currently closed. Like everywhere they can’t run at capacity as they can’t get staff so everywhere is super busy but can’t make the most of it.

Excellent food and nice people.
