Last lunch

Another night of not sleeping. I woke at 1 and ended up listening to 'The Last Night of the Proms' on sounds. However it was a beautiful sunrise around 7.

We were all up and ready to go in good time and left just after 9 for a drive on a beautiful sunny day to a restaurant near Pèzenas. But it took nearly 3 hours as Dvdrive relatively slowly.

Our last lunch was another v good one but we didn't have time to linger as the flight was 14.45 and Beziers Airport was a good 15 minutes away but it's a small airport and we were there before the inbound.

No lift so it was 2 sapeurs pompiers and an evac chair for Mum. The plane was fuller than I expected, probably busier than last week's. As expected it was cool and cloudy in Edinburgh. We sailed through the Border, another stamp in our new passports, and surprise, surprise, no-one asked to see any of our Covid test documentation.

Got home, cup of tea, ,'hello' to Willow and sorted some luggage. Next it was down to the Manor to check everything was working, check the food situation and speak to #3 son. He's doing the PCR tomorrow.

I was really tired by the time I got home around 7. This travel business is exhausting. Ate, caught up on 'Vigil' but baled before ep 4. I'd have fallen asleep and much to do this week.
