A view from Jeanneb

Blooming brightly

against a lovely blue sky.

This is the older and larger of my Watch Hazel (Hamamelis) trees now showing beautiful spidery yellow flowers.

On Tuesday I took pictures of the tiny buds that were just opening on this tree for tiny Tuesday but the interesting sky on my walk from the doctors took precedence. They have come on so well in a week. There is still only one tiny red bud on the replacement tree bought 18 months ago so fingers crossed. They are both later than previous years.

This morning I went to The Tittle Tattle Tea Shop and stayed for the Book Group and almost immediately after met three of my friends from our Ladies that Travel group, we had one down, to go out for a late lunch. Very nice it was too. You may see pictures on Yorkshirebred’s journal at sometime.

A good Friday all round.

If you look closely at the thumbnail  you may spot a wing just underneath the flower. A very fat fly soon emerged!
