Almost Summer?

Another lovely day, so once more we left BB to his revision (we hoped) and headed down the coast to Eyemouth.  We had invited BB, but he chose his books over a coastal walk.  Our plan was to walk from Eyemouth to St Abbs, but it was such a glorious day (and it hadn’t taken us too long to get to St Abbs), that we decided to walk on to the lighthouse.  The sea was so much calmer than it had been on Sunday.  We stopped at a bay for lunch and sat on the rocks enjoying the break and the sunshine and then carried on to the lighthouse.  We made our way back via the loch, Coldingham village and a track to Linkim Shore which we had seen signposted, but had never been along.  Apart from having to traverse a few fallen trees and avoid some muddiness it all worked out and we got back to the coastal path and continued to Eyemouth.  I did  feel the need to remind BB that he had rugby training, so texted him.  He texted back to ask if I could give him a lift.  In a word - no!

We were home before BB returned from his training.  All three of us were exhausted.  Thankfully we were able to cobble a tea together from leftovers in the fridge.  TT and I both caught the sun today.  My arms and face are a wee bit pink.  Sunburn in Scotland in April.  It felt like summer today, though there was still a chill in the air.

A view out to sea from the cliffs above Eyemouth.  The extras are views of the coast and the lighthouse and foghorn.
