Dad’s Day

It’s Father’s Day Sunday in the US. It’s also Juneteenth, a Federal Holiday to celebrate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans • MrsP’s Dad was Charlie, mine was Eddie. Both passed long ago but we keep them near and dear in our hearts. Charlie loved to garden and adored his dinnerplate dahlias. Eddie adored fishing and loved casting for bass. Two men lost too soon • Another cool and rainy day. Some laundry’s been done plus a little paperwork but mostly it’s been about watching women’s basketball and, soon, a movie. A relaxing day for all five of us. Ducky’s on my lap, Newt’s taking up half the couch, and Grouch is curled up in the box that’s slowly becoming a permanent part of our living room decor • Enjoy the rest of your weekend! • PS - is this a double-eyed bluejay?!?
