Just Throw The Stick

This was Geordie and I on the West Sands At St Andrews today. He was having a great time chasing and swimming after a stick, while I was working out my frustration and anger by throwing it as hard as I could.
I discovered at my Physio appointment this morning that I’ve been doing exercises to rehabilitate a cruciate ligament tear when I actually have a fractured tibia (shin bone), that should have been in a cast for 6-8 weeks! The physio managed to access the results of the MRI from last week. She was pretty surprised because the Orthopaedic consultant told her it was an ACL tear she was to work on. No mention of a fracture. Can’t explain how angry I am. So, I’ve not to push my exercising any further for the moment, and no inclines or rough surfaces, or stairs if I can avoid them. And to use the stick again for support. It feels like such a backward step because I thought I was doing so well. Admittedly I’ve hit a bit of a wall this week, but maybe I now know why. I wonder when I will hear from the orthopaedic consultant, and how this will be explained.
I’m off to crack open a bottle of wine, and try to chill a bit. I’m still feeling quite explosive!
