Marjorie's ramblings

By walkingMarj

I can see you..........

It was sunny again and I managed to get out for a walk while Julie was here with Mum. (Not nearly as soon as I should have, but it worked out OK.)

I went back to Wark and walked along by the river North Tyne. It is always beautiful there. I met an acquaintance who told me that the river path was very muddy and I should walk in the fields instead. It wasn't at all bad, so I defected to the riverside partway through.

The bluebells leaves are there in profusion with the promise of delights to come.

And then - I saw the roe deer. It dashed across my path and then observed me from a safe distance. What a pleasure for me.

My walk took me uphill to Low Carry Farm. Most of their lambs are in the fields already; some are quite big.  It's always fun to stand and watch them playing or running to their mothers and feeding.

My horrible hip coped very well despite some ups and downs on the route. It was sore by the end - only 4+ easy miles, but has settled this evening. I have to be very cautious in my optimism.

I wore new boots today. I polished them before going and washed them on my return. That won't last for long!

Mum had a visit from Deacon Anne this afternoon, then Margret (next door) came over.

We watched an old episode of All Creatures Great and Small tonight.
