Marjorie's ramblings

Abstract birch

Another lovely morning so I set off for a walk from home - around the fields and back again. In a tiny quiet wood I stood and enjoyed the textures of the birch bark, and the ferns and mosses. I saw some of the fleshiest auricula Judae ever and nearly blipped one but the birch bark won.

I called at a remote cottage, complete with wind turbine, to meet the occupants who are archaeology enthusiasts. They have done a lot of survey work on Ravensheugh Crags and there is every indication that there are bronze age burial chambers plus cup marked stones there. I feel a special interest walk for the festival coming on!

This afternoon I finished decorating the tree - it's always a joy (when it's done that is).

When I looked at the image for blip I wasn't really happy with it, so a filter or three came into play (please note Hobbs) and this is the result.
