I'm Kirsty, I work as a Marine Biologist in an Offshore Development Consultancy (bit of a mouthful) and my main hobby is photography.

I have a Nikon D40, a Canon 50D and a Leica D-LUX 5. Of my digital cameras, the Leica is the star; something about having a camera that fits in my purse.

I'm just getting back into film again and using a Pentax K1000 and a Zenit 11, both of which I prefer to use with mono film... I'm currently processing my own film as part of an evening class in film photography so there is usually a large delay in taking the photo and getting it up on my journal.

I've been steadily drifting North for 23 years. I was born in Grimsby, grew up in Harrogate, live in Aberdeen and would love to move to Norway one day; I travel there as often as I can with my significant other (M). He's very patient when I want to stop every 4 paces and photograph a crisp packet or a bumblebee.

My Dad's an artist (plug plug plug) and I'd like to think I've got some creativity in my blood from him. My Mum has passed on her perfectionism, which is my best/worst quality, and patience (I could have used a little more of that).

Blip has been an ace learning experience for me and I'm very appreciative towards Husky Lugs for flagging up this site.

Subscribe for one too many photos of Aberdeen beach, a few of Norway and other things that make me smile.
